The Jurassic Archive and Research Centre (CEJARE) holds collections that document the life, operations, and know-how of many companies and institutions representative of the industrial fabric of the Jura Arc in the 19th and 20th centuries.
While watchmaking, mechanics, machine tools, and precision engineering are certainly dominant, other less well-known economic sectors are also represented. Furthermore, the CEJARE also holds important trade union and employer archives that offer other perspectives on industrial activity. (Browse by subject)
The archives come from large national and even international companies as well as from small and medium-sized enterprises, small workshops, individual artisans, economic associations, and private individuals. (Browse by company, person, or organization)
